Born and raised in a small Oregon town, I was often found rescuing salamanders, sneaking into my grandparents barn to watch owls, and trying to lure chipmunks into my lap with peanuts. Though now I live in Portland, I am still obsessed with animals and and enjoy taking neighborhood plant walks. Most of my work revolves around some aspect of nature. Using abstraction, blooming watercolor, and obsessive detail, I seek to question and better understand the varied relationships between humans and animals.

I also recently illustrated a page in Halcyon Trails Portland, a new portland themed coloring book.
